Our chef is very happy to give cooking demos and these are a great experience. You start by meeting him in Essaouira at about 9.30am and then he will take you around the souks choosing ingredients – this is a great opportunity to experience the real souks rather than the tourist versions. You will then return to Rebali by taxi and he will help you prepare your chosen dish in your riad. You will then of course eat it as your lunch (warning, you probably won’t want dinner that night...). The cost includes the taxi and all ingredients. Minimum 2 people and a maximum of 4. This has been so popular that we have introduced pastry-making demonstrations to show you how to prepare the delicious sweet pastries that are such an important part of Moroccan hospitality. For this the pastry chef comes to Rebali and conducts the class in your riad. We encourage you to finish the class by tea-time so you can show off your results to the other guests!

Traditional Hammam

A One hour relaxing Hammam. This is an all-over scrub and cleanse in the steam room and is the traditional way of cleaning in Muslim countries. You will feel a new man/woman at the end and it is highly recommended.

Pamper your hands or feet with a reviving soak, exfoliation and trim followed by a hand or foot massage using sensual oils to nourish and gently massage your hands or feet. Your massage is followed by an application of nail varnish of your choice.

Camel Trekking

Rebali must be one of the few hotels in the world to offer a door to door camel service and what a great way to explore the beach. You can go for a few minutes circuit on the beach or book one of our ‘camel picnics’ and go for miles to find a waterfall and lava based rock formations. Or head in the opposite direction to lose yourself in the massive dunes of Cap Sim. We can also arrange camel picnic treks and offer 3 versions all priced the same: - Beach Picnic. An hour’s camel ride up to the far north of the beach to a spot sheltered from the wind where a picnic will be prepared. Start 11am. - Cap Sim. As above but around 90 minutes in the saddle before lunch and up on to Cap Sim (the peninsular to the north). A bit longer and more exposed to the wind but with super views and a great place to have lunch. Start 10:30am. - Waterfalls. Heading south this time along 3 beaches to a great location where volcanic lava creates a waterfall coming down onto the beach. This is about 2 hours riding - better in the winter months when it is less windy and there is more water in the streams. Start 10.00am.
